The goal was to design an app that is easy to use, engaging, memorable, and meets business goals. MyPT had competitors like Enhance and Fitlov which are well-known and have pretty sophisticated interfaces and designs.

So, the challenge was to come up with a design that was better than its competition, deliver an intuitive user experience, and fulfill business objectives.

The Solution

Analyzing the market and competitors, we designed two apps, one for members and one for trainers.

The "Members app" allows members to track their sessions with trainers. A member can book a session based on the trainer's schedule, select a gym nearby, and pay through the same app once the session is over. Stats and graphs show a member's overall progress on the app's dashboard.

"The Trainers app" helps trainers schedule sessions and track trainee progress. They can keep track of upcoming sessions with clients through the calendar on the app's dashboard. Trainers can chat with clients, receive manual payments, and register those payments in the app.

The first step was to understand business objectives and challenges. We then completed detailed market research and competitor analysis, followed by information architecture, layout planning, and high-fidelity designs. As part of the design process, we kept in touch with the client to get their valuable input. In this way, the designs were able to meet both business and user needs.
